About Me
I'm currently the PR/Media Relations Manager and Broadcaster for the Reading Fightin Phils, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. In that role, I work closely with our front office on our marketing efforts and strategies, in addition to managing the team's brand on social media, online, and to the public.
I also work closely with our coaches and players to serve as a liaison between the team and the media. My media relations work includes, but is not limited to: updating daily game notes, distributing daily stats to coaches and media, daily press releases and game recaps, overseeing social media channels, coordinating post-game press conferences and fulfilling interview requests, working to distribute team information such as lineups, pitching rotations and more. I additionally provide feature content such as video and written features/interviews.
Additionally, I engineer and produce our on-air broadcast, which is distributed online on multiple streaming channels and MiLB TV. I set up/break down equipment, build/run our stream, and ensure a high-quality broadcast is provided to our listeners on a nightly basis. I also provide play-by-play and color commentary of our games, in addition to performing post-game interviews.
Outside of working with Reading, I'm also a freelance play-by-play broadcaster. I've worked with multiple schools within Pennsylvania. My freelance work has included calling games for Villanova, Lehigh, Bucknell, Juniata, West Chester, Drexel, and more. I'm always eager to work with more schools as a freelance broadcaster!
As a play-by-play announcer, I have called a variety of sports for both television and radio. Consisting, but not limited to, football, soccer, volleyball, field hockey, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball and lacrosse. I also have experience serving in an analyst role for those sports as well.
I graduated from Penn State in December of 2022 with a degree in broadcast journalism. In addition to a minor in Sports Studies and a certificate from the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism. Over my time at Penn State, I was involved in multiple extracurricular organizations within sports broadcasting, including Penn State's CommRadio.
I spent my final two years as the station's general manager, while also working as a play-by-play broadcaster, amongst other responsibilities over the last four years.
As General Manager, I was responsible for the oversight of seven separate departments to ensure the day-to-day operations of the station went off seamlessly. I helped manage the station with over 250 members to give the best opportunities possible. I also worked to be a liaison between the members and Penn State for the best opportunities possible.
During the summer of 2021 and '22, I worked in summer collegiate baseball as a play-by-play broadcaster and contributed to the media relations department. In 2021 I worked for the Saugerties Stallions of the PGCBL and in 2022 for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
In addition to play-by-play, I have done extensive work in media relations, game notes, writing, reporting, hosting, and much more.
